Employment

Interested in working as a tutor or at the front desk for CTS?

For Prospective Tutors:
Prospective tutors should be aware of the following criteria: (1) To tutor any course, you must have taken the course and received a grade of A or A+ when you took it. Honors courses will be considered on a case by case basis but will not necessarily be considered equivalent. (2) Tutoring experience and teaching experience (as a UGI, AI, or peer tutor) will carry a fair amount of weight, much more so than experience in summer camps, babysitting, etc. (3) Overall GPA will be a factor, but will be weighed less than grades within the field for which you would like to become a tutor.

For Prospective Front Desk Staff:
Familiarity with computers and basic software (Microsoft office) along with some internet savvy is required. The ability to clearly communicate with a number of people simultaneously is also very important. Previous experience as a receptionist will be strongly considered (examples: hair salon, doctors office, etc.) as will references from previous employers. Please do not include “personal but not business” relations such as parents or family friends unless such testimony is relevant to work performed for them.

To be considered for employment, please email Bill, our Director. His email address is bill at campusts.com (please use the @ symbol when emailing – we had to use this formatting as Bill was being spammed by bots!).  Please attach both your resume and unofficial IU transcript to be considered. If your undergraduate work was at a previous institution, please include that unofficial transcript or grade report.
