The “B or Better Program” is an exclusive program designed to help students succeed in MATH-B110 . We are very confident in this program and offer grade-insurance to students who register before the start of the semester, complete the program, and end with a course grade of “B-” or lower. Here is a short description of how the program works:
- During instructional weeks, students attend two 75-minute lessons in-person. Lesson 1 is offered on Monday and Tuesday, and Lesson 2 is offered on Wednesday and Thursday. To be clear, students attend ONE lesson on either Monday or Tuesday and ONE lesson on either Wednesday or Thursday. We call these lessons our “Group Sessions”. Here are the times students can attend:
Monday from 1:00pm to 2:15pm or from 4pm to 5:15pm
Tuesday from 11:10am to 12:25pm or from 4pm to 5:15pm
Wednesday from 1:00pm to 2:15pm or from 4pm to 5:15pm
Thursday from 11:10am to 12:25pm or from 4pm to 5:15pm
- During the week that immediately precedes each exam, students attend between 2 and 6 hours of test review instead of attending the group sessions. These are extremely important as exams constitute a high percentage of each student’s overall grade. Exam review sessions may occur on Fridays or weekends. If you have plans to leave Bloomington during the semester, please contact the program Director prior to finalizing plans.
- Each week on Wednesday, the students complete a grade submission consisting of two screenshots; one shows EdFinity grades, the other shows test and quiz grades. This allows us to monitor progress and identify problems as soon as they arise.
Students can be for the program two ways:
(1) Pay for the entire program up front for a reduced cost of $797 (this option saves $99).
(2) Pay in four installments. Upon signup, students are charged $29 which covers the registration fee. There are three additional payments of $289 each; the first occurring on the 3rd Monday of the academic term, the second occurring on the 6th Monday of the academic term, and the third occurring on the 9th Monday of the academic term.
Students that register for the program can withdraw at any time and receive a pro-rated refund for the remainder of the semester, so if you are not happy with the instruction or decide to use a different mode of tutoring, you are not going to “lose your money” by registering for this!
